Healing childhood trauma to break cycles for good.
Children who have suffered from domestic violence, abuse, neglect, or family separation often carry deep emotional scars they have trouble expressing with words. At Wings of the Future, our childhood trauma therapy program is designed to provide a safe, supportive environment where children can begin the healing process, especially for those involved with court-ordered services or CPS.
Through play therapy and expressive arts, we give our young clients safe, creative outlets to process difficult experiences and emotions. We focus on attachment repair work, helping children rebuild trust and form healthy bonds after neglect, separation, or inconsistent caregiving.
We also provide emotional regulation training to help children develop coping strategies and self-soothing skills, so they feel safe with themselves and with their relationships. For families that are involved with the legal or child welfare system, we provide structured court-ordered and CPS therapy to meet specific requirements while still supporting the child’s emotional growth.
Our childhood trauma therapy work is grounded in trauma-informed care and an understanding of how the nervous system develops. Our goal is to restore safety and trust while providing compassionate support, so children can learn that their voices matter, their feelings are valid, and they have the freedom to be themselves.
With our childhood trauma therapy services, we are committed to helping children move beyond survival and form a foundation of safety, trust, and hope for the future. To learn more about how we help and support children who have endured trauma or to schedule a session, reach out to us today.
