Shamariah Brown is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and a background in behavioral health, clinical leadership, and community-based services. She also holds credentials as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern (LCDC-I), Community Health Worker (CHW), and Certified Professional Life Coach (CPLC). Her diverse experience allows her to approach each client with compassion, understanding, and a holistic perspective.
Shamariah’s passion for therapy comes from her belief that everyone deserves to feel heard, valued, and supported, regardless of their circumstances or past experiences. She is committed to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, overcome barriers, strengthen relationships, and recognize their ability to create meaningful change. She finds fulfillment in witnessing clients discover their strengths, build confidence, and take steps toward healing and personal growth.
Her therapeutic approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. She incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)-informed techniques, motivational interviewing, solution-focused interventions, and mindfulness-based strategies when appropriate to each client’s needs and goals. She prioritizes creating a safe, collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to participate in their healing journey at their own pace.
Shamariah believes therapy is not about judging where someone has been but helping them understand their experiences and discover where they can go. She recognizes the importance of honoring each person’s unique story, culture, values, and lived experiences. Her goal is to help clients feel comfortable showing up as their authentic selves while developing practical tools for lasting change.
Outside of her professional work, Shamariah values faith, family, and personal growth. These values reinforce her commitment to serving others with empathy, authenticity, and hope.
